Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel), a US Marine who has returned from a mission in Mombasa, spends a pleasure trip with his wife, Gina (Talulah Riley), before they are both murdered by a criminal group.
Soon after, Ray is resurrected by scientists led by Emil Harting (Guy Pearce) and turned into a cyborg with extraordinary powers.

Adaptation of a Valiant comic with Vin Diesel turned into a super soldier with nanotechnology in a story that crosses “Robocop” and “Universal Soldier” with traces of a tough 80s hero, Sylvester Stallone or Arnold Schwarzenegger style.

The film, action and science fiction with the appearance of series B, is pretentious, trying to take its hero to a situation of tragedy and mind control in a regret of identity, memory and unimaginative disorientation.

It lacks a more complex plot to support that claim, since the basic motive for revenge is simple, the characters are flat, with Vin Diesel playing more Vin Diesel than the comic book character, and with a psychological game of manipulation without inventiveness that boring more than interesting.
