Refund Policy
Effective Date: June 19, 2026
This Refund Policy explains when payments made to Comiker ("Comiker," "we," "us," or "our")
are and are not refundable. It applies to all subscription plans and any credit purchases
made through our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy.
The short version: Comiker does not offer refunds for purchased credits or subscription charges, except where a generation fails due to a system error — in which case credits are returned to your account automatically. Our free plan is the way to try Comiker before paying. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By subscribing to a paid plan or purchasing credits, you acknowledge and agree to this Policy.
Why Comiker Has a No-Refund Policy
Generating a comic on Comiker is not free on our end. Every story, character, and image you generate is produced by calling third-party AI providers — including OpenAI for story and text generation, and fal.ai for image generation — each of which charges us the moment a generation request is processed, regardless of whether you are satisfied with the result.
These providers do not refund us for completed generations, even partial ones. Because the cost of producing your comic is incurred immediately and is itself non-refundable to us, we are not able to offer refunds for credits that have been used to generate content, or for subscription charges in general.
This is the same reason many AI-powered creative tools operate on a no-refund basis: the underlying compute and generation cost is consumed at the moment of use, not at the moment of your satisfaction with the output.
General Policy
Except as expressly described in Section 4 (Generation Failures) of this Policy, all payments to Comiker are final and non-refundable, including but not limited to:
- Monthly or annual subscription charges, for any plan tier (Creator, Pro Studio, or any future paid tier)
- One-time credit purchases, if and when such purchases become available
- Charges for any billing period, whether or not you used the Service during that period
- Charges for comics, pages, or images you are dissatisfied with for stylistic, creative, or subjective reasons
- Charges resulting from your own decision to cancel partway through a billing period
This applies equally to first-time subscribers and long-term subscribers. We do not offer a separate refund window for new paying customers, because our free plan already lets you generate comics and evaluate the Service before you ever enter payment details.
Try Before You Pay: Our Free Plan
Comiker offers a free, ongoing plan that includes a limited number of comics per month at no cost. We designed this free tier specifically so that you can evaluate art styles, generation quality, and overall fit before committing to a paid subscription.
Because this free evaluation path already exists and is available to every user at any time, we do not offer an additional no-questions-asked refund window after a paid purchase. If you are unsure whether a paid plan is right for you, we recommend using the free plan first.
Generation Failures (Automatic Credit Refunds)
We distinguish between a comic you are unhappy with and a comic that was never actually produced because something went wrong on our end. The latter is covered by this section; the former is not refundable under Section 2.
If a comic generation fails due to a technical error on our side — for example, an error from an underlying AI provider, a server-side failure, or another fault that prevents your comic from being completed — the credits deducted for that attempt are automatically returned to your account balance. This happens without you needing to contact support.
Specifically:
- If a generation fails before any usable content is produced, the full credit cost of that attempt is refunded to your balance automatically.
- This automatic refund is built into the generation system itself and is designed to trigger any time a generation request does not complete successfully.
- If you believe credits were deducted for a failed generation but were not automatically refunded, contact support with your comic ID or the approximate time of the failed attempt, and we will investigate and correct your balance.
What Is Not Covered by a Refund or Credit Return
Because AI image and story generation involves a degree of creative variability, a successfully completed comic is not eligible for a refund or credit return on the basis of:
- The art style not matching your expectations
- A character's appearance not closely enough resembling an uploaded reference photo
- Story pacing, dialogue, or tone you find unsatisfying
- Panel composition, layout, or text placement you would have done differently
- Minor visual inconsistencies between panels, which can occur with current AI image generation technology
If a completed comic doesn't turn out the way you hoped, we encourage you to refine your prompt, character details, or art style and generate again, or use the cover/background regeneration features, using your existing credits.
Cancelling Your Subscription
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your Account settings, which links to our payment processor's secure customer portal.
- Cancelling stops future renewal charges. It does not refund the current, already-paid billing period.
- When you cancel, you keep access to your plan's features, remaining credits, and comic library until the end of the billing period you already paid for.
- After that period ends, your account moves to the free plan. Your previously generated comics remain accessible in your library; see our Privacy Policy for data retention details.
- You may resubscribe at any time; resubscribing starts a new billing period and is subject to this same Policy.
Unauthorized Charges and Billing Errors
This Policy is not intended to prevent legitimate disputes regarding unauthorized use of your payment method or a genuine billing error (such as being charged twice for the same period).
If you believe a charge to your account was unauthorized, fraudulent, or the result of a billing system error, contact us immediately using the details in Section 9. We will investigate in good faith, working with our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, and correct any confirmed billing error.
Reporting a charge as unauthorized or fraudulent when it was, in fact, an authorized purchase you simply wish to reverse may be treated as a violation of our Terms of Service.
